The Morning Star is a whip-type melee weapon added in the Return to Castlevania DLC. A brutal whip with a star-shaped head. Can be held to spin the whip along with your movement. Deals critical hits with the spiked ball.

Notes[edit]
- This weapon is unlocked by entering the Konami Code with player inputs.
- The code is in Dead Cells as: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A.
- When playing on the gamepad, roll should be pressed as B, and jump as A.
- When playing on PC with a keyboard, up/down/left/right must be pressed using the arrow keys, followed by B and A.(NOT WORKING)
- The Konami Code is a cheat code featured in many Konami Games.
- The code is in Dead Cells as: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A.
- The code can be used once per run, but it still works even after unlocking the Morning Star.
- When the Konami Code is entered and the Morning Star appears, it will be scaled to the current biome’s weapon level.
- The Morning Star can also be spawned in the Richter Mode.
