Want additional research into "exceptions" to the one-hit-kill mechanic, and maybe some reorganization[edit]

Currently, there's one bullet point in the Notes section that mentions that Ice Armor's effect prevents damage from triggering the one-hit-kill mechanic while the player is cursed.

I suspect there are more such "exception" cases; and if there are, then they probably warrant their own proper section (or subsection within the Mechanics section) rather than merely a passing mention down in the Notes. Also, the Mechanics section is currently somewhat in contradiction with the note about Ice Armor; only if the reader actually reads the Ice Armor note will they realize that the "regardless of any damage-reducing abilities" bit in the Mechanics section that they read earlier isn't entirely accurate.

One particular category I want to look into (but haven't had time to test around with just yet), is whether the various Force Field effects in the game prevent damage from OHK'ing a cursed player. An almost-certainly-incomplete list of such effects (it's damn hard to track down all of them, partly due to varying terminology):

  • The Force Shield's active force field effect
  • The Rampart's force-field-after-parry effect
  • The "Generates a shield when used" affix
  • (Borderline non-applicable) The Disengagement mutation's 5-second force field generated after being damaged
  • (Effectively not applicable at all) The passive force-field-after-being-damaged effect simply from having a shield equipped

force field abilities all function the same way. You don't need to test every single one. Chipperguy0405 (talk) 13:36, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
