CORRECT UPDATE NAME[edit]
There is a mistake in the page title. The page title is currently "Version 2.3". In-game, the version is "v23" in the bottom left corner, and "UP.23" near the Dead Cells logo. It doesn't say 2.3 anywhere, only 23. This page title should be corrected to "Version 23". Also, the person who created this page needs to be sent to the guillotine to become beheaded, as a proper punishment for their mistake. Heddy1 07:20, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

- I'm guessing someone intentionally named all these pages incorrectly just because they personally don't like the versioning scheme or something. With no one answering me I was forced to make an account to fix it myself. Trying to fix this huge mess, and I keep getting an error message that says "action throttled". Might take a while... - Hi there, sorry for the lack of a response. I have been rather busy lately, so I'd hoped someone else would answer you. In short, the naming is not based from that used in the patchnotes, but rather the naming used for the steam betas. If you go to the steam betas, you'll notice that every version has the name "vX.x - UX - ...". This is where the "Version X.x" scheme comes from. It was also chosen to match what was already in use throughout the rest of the wiki. I know you meant well when making those moves, and I'm glad editing the wiki caught your interest! Anyways, I hope this answers your question as to why we chose this naming scheme. I'd suggest using the official discord, where we have a wiki channel and most other editors are more active there.
